I have made some observations lately that lead me to the following conclusions:

Women can be the aggressors/guilty party

Cops should try to determine who the aggressor was in any given domestic situation

Only the aggressor should be arrested instead of how it is done now where they just arrest the man or even both parties

SOP for too long has had cops assume that the man is the aggressor/guilty party and cart them off to jail.

I have seen/heard of too many cases where the woman involved attacked the man and he was arrested for defending himself - yes, a woman CAN work you over.

If a man does not have carte blanche to strike a women then the reverse must apply.

They're calling them Flash Mobs which is something I associate more with groups of people showing up in public spaces and suddenly breaking into a dance - but that's another argument.

Just in the last few days, large groups of "black youth" have been reported engaged in riotous actions at a fair in Wisconsin and in downtown Philly. This on the heels of several other reported incidents, one here in Peoria.

These groups, in many cases, have been reported by numerous sources, to have targeted white people for menacing at the best and severe beatings at the worst.

The black mayor of Philly has even said that they have "damaged their race" by their behavior.

Certain people making asses of themselves by calling me racist to commence in 3...2..1...

Do I think Ms Anthony did it? Yes. However, I was on a jury recently where a man was accused of diddling his girlfriend's pre-teen daughter. Despite the fact the I believed he had indeed done it, I obeyed the judge's order and considered only the EVIDENCE of which there was NONE other than the girl's testimony.

I could not, in good conscience, vote guilty based ONLY on that. The SA offered NO evidence whatsoever. Unfortunately, there were some, most women, on the jury who were willing to vote guilty based on NO EVIDENCE. I stated emphatically that I wouldn't want to live in a country where you could be sent to prison based on one accuser's testimony and gut feelings.

In the Anthony case, there was apparently insufficient EVIDENCE to pass the "beyond a reasonable doubt" standard - no matter how much some people wanted her crucified.

Once again, our justice system is the worst in the world - except for all the others.

It was just before 4:30 p.m. Sunday January 23rd, 2011 when the gunman came into the police station and started shooting.

A female sergeant in a hallway was hit first. Commander Brian Davis raced out of his office, exchanged fire with the gunman and got shot in the back.

Then the gunman rushed the horseshoe-shaped front desk with his pistol grip shotgun. Sgt. Ray Saati and Officer David Anderson also were shot before the gunman was killed.

That's how terror unfolded in the Detroit Police Department's Northwestern District, according to interviews with police sources.

I recently bought a Subaru because it was the lowest priced AWD car I could find based on my wife's insistence that she HAD to have an AWD car. To date, I've been very happy with that car. It kicks ass AND rocks slick pavement.

That being said, I'd much rather have gotten her a Fusion AWD.

Ford remains close to my heart over a dozen or so FORDs I've owned since 1975 and my Dad had since 1966. I have also had a Ford ZX2 2001 and a Chevy Cavalier LS 2004. Chevy, ICK.

Hats off to FORD for STILL cranking out some of the best cars ever over the past couple of years!!

I'm kind of surprised by the relative quite over MSNBC's ejection of Olbermann. Of course, I didn't care for his irrational rejection of all things even remotely conservative nor his haughty style and hyperbole (Worst person in the world? C'mon!). Even so, in the interest of having both sides presented in the media, I was almost happy he was on the air. And besides, Shultz is a much bigger, if less known, douchebag.

I used to love Crossfire being a battle of ideas, even though it seemed they were playing on the liberals home field. Same for Hannity & Colmes but reversed.

P.S. Nor do I care for some right-wing pundits' irrational rejection of all things even remotely liberal nor their haughty style and hyperbole.
