Did You Know?

The highest paid pubic employee in just about every state is a college coach. In Illinois' case:

"Following the firing of University of Illinois’s head football coach Tim Beckman in August, basketball head coach of the Fighting Illini John Groce became the highest-paid public employee in the state. After Groce, the next highest-paid employee is Dr. Dimitri Azar, dean at the University of Illinois’s College of Medicine who makes $750,000 a year. In Illinois, one in every 10 state employees earns more than $100,000 every year."

I think most college's priorities are really screwed up these days. They exist to educate. Sports is extra-curricular.
