The Rare Occasion Where I Agree with Elaine Hopkins

The sale of the park property along the river north of the Wreck Plex is just another in a long series of boondoggles and give-aways foisted upon the citizens of Peoria by our City "leadership".

Wreck Plex
Gateway Building
Riverfront "Pad"
Main & University
And the list goes on...

When will they learn??

When will WE learn??

Oops. Hang on. There's someone at the door...

Main and University upgrade was not "foisted." The plan was created with input and support from the West Bluff neighborhoods. I agree with the rest of your list. Apartments in the Park has gotta go.

Yeah, that's why so many people hate it - including people from the neighborhoods.

Hows that 1000% increase in cut-thru traffic going??

BU wanted this and it was forced on everyone else.

But I understand - it's bad PR for BU when Indian students who don't know how to cross a street get knocked out of their shoes.

Whoops - front page on PJS - “Get rid of it. They have made an awful mistake.”

They should apply this to all roads in the US. We could have one massive grid-lock overnight. LOL

Untrue about the Intersection. All the haters of the improvements are great at making up stories when the facts just don’t support their views. True, there are some malcontents, but most West Bluffers are very supportive.

Malcontents?? How arrogant!

How about Peorians in a wider sense? I have been thru there where it took 3 lights to get thru south on University. People are avoiding the traffic snarl by zipping thru adjacent neighborhoods.

I'm starting to question the motives of the defenders. Something is going on here.

Somebody's getting stroked.

The West Bluff is being "stroked" by safer conditions for pedestrians, increased business success and greater area vibrancy. People are driving to, not merely cutting through, the West Bluff. Intersection haters have thrown out the facts and now resort to fallacy to assert their arguments. Time for them to move on to something else.
