Just Because...

Fading light dims the sight
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright

From afar drawing nigh,

Falls the night.

Day is done, gone the sun

From the lakes, from the hills, from the skies

All is well, safely rest;

God is nigh.

Then goodnight, peaceful night;

Till the light of the dawn shineth bright.

God is near, do not fear,

Friend, goodnight.

God bless all our military folks across the world.

There is a pernicious echo, throughout the left, that conservatives advocate military force but don't serve in the military. Hence their appropriation of the obscene sexual term "chickenhawk". As most of the military tend to vote Republican, I'd say that is needlessly divisive and patently false. It's also the reason some on the left try to historically suppress the military vote.

Shame on you.

That was just the first in a long list on Google.

No comment, EM?

From that article: "Such polls continue to give Republican strategists fits because it tends to erode the conventional wisdom that the military vote is a Republican given. "

I believe Officers do tend to vote GOP but I'll bet enlisted tilt towards the DEMS, especially after Dubbya.
