In which I defend Keith Olbermann??

O'Reilly, Beck and Hannity are NOT "journalists", they are pundits. So standards of so-called "journalism" don't so much apply. Same for Olbermann, Maddow, Mathews and others at MSNBC. Therefore, their contributions to candidates may reflect on their bias but that's it. If MSNBC is so deluded that they consider their pundits to be "journalists" so be it. We all know that Fox's pundits are right leaning just as MSNBC's (and most of the mainstream media) are left leaning or maybe just Democrat leaning (duh). I was initially happy to see Olbermann leashed but...

UPDATE: Now it appears the whole thing was just a cynical PR stunt. Maybe I should have known better. Sad.

I hope comrade Olbermann squirms back under his rock and takes Madcow, O'D and the rest with him. Watching that channel reminds me of sitting around the frat house 20years ago wathcing C-span or CNN with the guys making fun of whoever or whatever they didn't like. They really are terrible people on MSNBC. No sense of decency at all. Very sophomoric.

I read somewhere that MSNBC is up for a shakeup once Comcast takes over.

I'd hope that no corporate parent ala GE with NBC would influence editorial policy.

Well you would hope not. But the fact is that you don't have a truely objective media apparatus. A right leaning outlet gives another perspective, as Fox does. You can't trust media today, right or left. It really is sad that the news isn't news. Partisan heroes are news. Partisan BS makes headlines. Thirty years ago Palin wouldn't be in the news still. No one back then would care still, two year after the fact. But the news is now entertainment. Shes the left's pinata and the far right's warm blanket. I hate the media today. You are unable to get a true picture of the way things are actually unless you can dig through the crap created by the media.
